Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Portrait of Panda GG by Kao Yu was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 140,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 13,698.15). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kao Yu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Milky Way Hero, which sold at auction in May 2014 for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 53,198.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Portrait of Panda GG von Kao Yu wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 140.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 13.698,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kao Yu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Milky Way Hero beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 53.198,31) versteigert wurde.
