Despite a disappointment, a good price for Kao Yu
This work of art by Kao Yu could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Milky Way Hero changed hands for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 53,198.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 650,000.00 – 900,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Milky Way Hero is the most expensive artwork by Kao Yu that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Kao Yu
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kao Yu konnte im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wechselte die Arbeit Milky Way Hero für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 53.198,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 650.000,00 – 900.000,00.
