Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Audrey by Kang Hyung-Koo. The price achieved of HKD 800,000.00 (€ 71,563.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 600,000.00 – 900,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kang Hyung-Koo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vincent Van Gogh in Blue in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 4,567,500.00 (€ 399,283.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Audrey von Kang Hyung-Koo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 800.000,00 (€ 71.563,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 600.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kang Hyung-Koo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vincent Van Gogh in Blue im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.567.500,00 (€ 399.283,09).
