This artwork by Kamel El Telmissany achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in March 2015. In the Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art auction, the work La Jeune Fille et le Hachache (The Young Girl and the Hachache) sold for USD 118,750.00 (€ 110,557.68) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kamel El Telmissany; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in November this year with the realized price of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 116,805.28).

In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art wurde die Arbeit La Jeune Fille et le Hachache (The Young Girl and the Hachache) für USD 118.750,00 (€ 110.557,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kamel El Telmissany; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 116.805,28).
