This artwork by Kamel El Telmissany achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2014. In the 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective auction, the work Egyptian Nude sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,859.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kamel El Telmissany have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November this year with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 116,805.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kamel El Telmissany erzielte im November 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective wurde die Arbeit Egyptian Nude für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.859,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kamel El Telmissany auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 116.805,28).
