The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,404.77), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kahlil Gibran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Amin Rihani in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 104,311.46).

Die Arbeit American study Of A Man'S Head von Kahlil Gibran wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Boundless: Dubai bei Sothebys in Dubai versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.404,77) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kahlil Gibran erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Amin Rihani im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 92.500,00 (€ 104.311,46).
