Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by K. S. Radhakrishnan. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,415.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by K. S. Radhakrishnan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maiya As Graduate, which sold at auction in November 2019 for INR 1,500,000.00 (€ 18,921.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von K. S. Radhakrishnan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.415,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von K. S. Radhakrishnan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maiya As Graduate beobachtet, die im November 2019 für INR 1.500.000,00 (€ 18.921,86) versteigert wurde.
