This artwork by K. S. Radhakrishnan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Song Of The Road sold for USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,620.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by K. S. Radhakrishnan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Maiya As Graduate sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of INR 1,500,000.00 (€ 18,921.86).
