In January 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & Sculpture Evening Sale, which included the work Still Life With A Chinese Blue And White Porcelain Bowl And Ewer, A Silver Porringer, Fruit And Other Objects, On A Partly Draped Table by Juriaan van Streek. The price achieved of USD 175,000.00 (€ 162,127.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still Life With A Chinese Blue And White Porcelain Bowl And Ewer, A Silver Porringer, Fruit And Other Objects, On A Partly Draped Table is the most expensive artwork by Juriaan van Streek that we have observed at auctions so far.
