Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Off the Isle of Wight by Julius Olsson for GBP 437.50 (€ 538.96). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit Including Collection of a Nobleman Part I at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Olsson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Golden Shore in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 18,380.09).
