The work Calavera by Julio Ruelas was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2014. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,331.38) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julio Ruelas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2009 for USD 40,625.00 (€ 28,759.03).

Die Arbeit Calavera von Julio Ruelas kam im Mai 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.331,38) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Julio Ruelas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für USD 40.625,00 (€ 28.759,03) versteigert wurde.
