A top price for Júlio Resende - as previously expected
The work Pássaro by Júlio Resende was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,235.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Pássaro is the most expensive artwork by Júlio Resende that we have observed at auctions so far.
