The work Clairière dans une forêt by Júlio Resende was worth EUR 1,680.00 to a buyer in October 2006. This price was achieved in the auction Intérieurs at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 60.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Júlio Resende - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pássaro, which sold at auction in October 2009 for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,235.85).
