Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Artichokes by Julio Larraz was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2017. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,137.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julio Larraz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bingham at Noon in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 326,500.00 (€ 227,114.64).

Die Arbeit Artichokes von Julio Larraz kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.137,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julio Larraz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bingham at Noon im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 326.500,00 (€ 227.114,64).
