Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors, which included the work The Charge of the Scots Greys, at Balaclava by Jules Van Imschoot. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,306.95), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jules Van Imschoot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Battle of Sedan; and The Battle of Gravelotte in February this year with an auction result of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,185.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Charge of the Scots Greys, at Balaclava von Jules Van Imschoot zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.306,95) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules Van Imschoot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Battle of Sedan; and The Battle of Gravelotte im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.185,99).
