In January 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Minding the herd at dusk by Jules Laurens. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,125.66), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Laurens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mercantile Caravenserai In Tabriz, Persia in April 2020 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 40,261.98).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Minding the herd at dusk von Jules Laurens zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.125,66) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Laurens erzielen.
