Upper estimate price exceeded by 25 %.

In May 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A Persian hill fort, with figures smoking in the foreground by Jules Laurens. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 750.00 (€ 857.63), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Laurens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mercantile Caravenserai In Tabriz, Persia in April 2020 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 40,261.98).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen

Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Persian hill fort, with figures smoking in the foreground von Jules Laurens zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 857,63) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Laurens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mercantile Caravenserai In Tabriz, Persia im April 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 40.261,98).
