A top price for Jules Delaunay - as previously expected
The work Reclining nude by Jules Delaunay was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2001. The price achieved of GBP 23,500.00 (€ 37,919.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Reclining nude is the most expensive artwork by Jules Delaunay that we have observed at auctions so far.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.500,00 (€ 37.919,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Reclining nude das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jules Delaunay, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
