Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Time for a smoke by Jules Delaunay was sold in the PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2002. The price achieved of EUR 1,762.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Delaunay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining nude in March 2001 with an auction result of GBP 23,500.00 (€ 37,919.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Time for a smoke von Jules Delaunay wurde im Januar 2002 in der Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.762,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Delaunay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining nude im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.500,00 (€ 37.919,60).
