Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Watering The Herd by Jules Dupré for USD 37,800.00 (€ 32,454.71). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules Dupré - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French Intérior De Ferme Dans Le Berry, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 115,000.00 (€ 73,869.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Watering The Herd von Jules Dupré für USD 37.800,00 (€ 32.454,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jules Dupré mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French Intérior De Ferme Dans Le Berry beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 115.000,00 (€ 73.869,48) versteigert wurde.
