Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Intérior De Ferme Dans Le Berry by Jules Dupré was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 52,500.00 (€ 47,327.14). Other works by Jules Dupré have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2008 by the work French Intérior De Ferme Dans Le Berry at USD 115,000.00 (€ 73,869.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Intérior De Ferme Dans Le Berry von Jules Dupré im Januar 2020 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 52.500,00 (€ 47.327,14) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Jules Dupré wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2008 die Arbeit French Intérior De Ferme Dans Le Berry mit USD 115.000,00 (€ 73.869,48).
