Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les baigneuses by Jules Dupré was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in September 2014. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,101.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Dupré achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Intérior De Ferme Dans Le Berry in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 115,000.00 (€ 73,869.48).
