Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Three girls in bathing suits); and Jackie Cieniawa, First Grade, 1993 by Judith Joy Ross was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2005. It changed hands for a price of USD 3,360.00 (€ 2,531.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Judith Joy Ross - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled from Easton Portraits, which sold at auction in April this year for USD 6,096.00 (€ 5,521.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Three girls in bathing suits); and Jackie Cieniawa, First Grade, 1993 von Judith Joy Ross kam im Februar 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 3.360,00 (€ 2.531,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Judith Joy Ross mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled from Easton Portraits beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für USD 6.096,00 (€ 5.521,74) versteigert wurde.
