In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Self Portrait by Juan Soriano. The »bidding war« ended at USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,694.14), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Soriano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apolo y las musas, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 250,000.00 (€ 210,119.35).

Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self Portrait von Juan Soriano zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.694,14) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Soriano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Apolo y las musas beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 250.000,00 (€ 210.119,35) versteigert wurde.
