Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale Day Session, which included the work Hormigas y amapolas by Juan Soriano. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,500.00 (€ 37,419.25), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Juan Soriano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Apolo y las musas in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 210,119.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale Day Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hormigas y amapolas von Juan Soriano zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 37.419,25) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Juan Soriano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Apolo y las musas im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 210.119,35).
