Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Important Old Master & British PicturesDay Sale Including Property From The Collection Of The Princely House Of Liechtenstein, which included the work A capriccio of a classical port with men-of-war heading out to sea by Juan Ruiz. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 34,850.00 (€ 44,277.32), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Ruiz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Set Of Four Views Of Naples: Naples, A View Of The Bay Taken From Posillipo Looking Towards Mount Vesuvius; Naples, Seen From The Castel Dell'Ovo With The Riviera Di Chiaia And Posillipo Beyond; Naples, Seen From The Bay, With The Molo Grande In The Cen in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 506,500.00 (€ 578,764
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Old Master & British PicturesDay Sale Including Property From The Collection Of The Princely House Of Liechtenstein durch, in der auch die Arbeit A capriccio of a classical port with men-of-war heading out to sea von Juan Ruiz zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Set Of Four Views Of Naples: Naples, A View Of The Bay Taken From Posillipo Looking Towards Mount Vesuvius; Naples, Seen From The Castel Dell'Ovo With The Riviera Di Chiaia And Posillipo Beyond; Naples, Seen From The Bay, With The Molo Grande In The Cen im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 506.500,00 (€ 578.764,53).
