The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,200.00 (€ 22,840.41), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean Leon Pallière have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A caravan of gauchos and their wagons crossing the Pampas, Argentina in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 187,059.34).

Die Arbeit Brazilian An Interior With Japanese Objects von Jean Leon Pallière wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 22.840,41) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Leon Pallière auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A caravan of gauchos and their wagons crossing the Pampas, Argentina im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 146.500,00 (€ 187.059,34).
