Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in London held the auction Topographical Pictures including Selections from the Kelton Collection, which included the work A Caravan of Gauchos and their Wagons crossing the Pampas by Jean Leon Pallière. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 144,991.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jean Leon Pallière have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2014 the work A caravan of gauchos and their wagons crossing the Pampas, Argentina was auctioned for GBP 146,500.00 (€ 187,059.34).

Im Oktober 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Topographical Pictures including Selections from the Kelton Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Caravan of Gauchos and their Wagons crossing the Pampas von Jean Leon Pallière zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 144.991,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
