This artwork by Joan Hernández Pijuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2011. In the Post-War and Contemporary ArtDay Auction auction, the work Paisatge Blanc sold for GBP 67,250.00 (€ 79,214.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joan Hernández Pijuan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Entre les 7 i les 8 sold at auction in October 2007 with the realized price of EUR 138,250.00.
