Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tulips, bluebells, daffodils and other flowers in a basket on a stone ledge; and Chrysanthemums, tulips, roses and other flowers in a basket on a stone ledge by Juan de Arellano was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2013. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,856.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan de Arellano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pair Of Still Lifes Of Roses, Variegated Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In Crystal Vases, On Stone Plinths in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 668,750.00 (€ 746,222.31).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.856,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan de Arellano erzielen.
