In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Still Life With A Large Array Of Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Stone Pedestal by Juan de Arellano. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 341,000.00 (€ 483,423.47), 71% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Juan de Arellano; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Pair Of Still Lifes Of Roses, Variegated Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In Crystal Vases, On Stone Plinths sold at auction in July 2017 with the realized price of GBP 668,750.00 (€ 746,222.31).
