Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Snowballs, Daffodils, Tulips, Roses And Other Flowers In A Wicker Basket On A Ledge by Juan de Arellano was sold in the Important Old Master & British Pictures Including works from the Collection of Anton Philips auction at Christies in London in December 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 108,500.00 (€ 147,433.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Juan de Arellano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Pair Of Still Lifes Of Roses, Variegated Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In Crystal Vases, On Stone Plinths in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 668,750.00 (€ 746,222.31).
