The price achieved of GBP 301,250.00 (€ 345,729.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan de Arellano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Pair Of Still Lifes Of Roses, Variegated Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In Crystal Vases, On Stone Plinths, which sold at auction in July 2017 for GBP 668,750.00 (€ 746,222.31).
