In December 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work A Still Life With Carnations, Parrot Tulips, Roses, Iris, Daffodils, Morning Glory And Lillies Of The Valley, All In A Basket Over A Stone Ledge With Grasshoppers And A Butterfly by Juan de Arellano. The price achieved of GBP 361,250.00 (€ 379,417.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Other works by Juan de Arellano have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2017 the work A Pair Of Still Lifes Of Roses, Variegated Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In Crystal Vases, On Stone Plinths was auctioned for GBP 668,750.00 (€ 746,222.31).
