Auction result well in line with expectations
The work North Korea, Pyongyang, Shadows, 2012, 2013 by JR was auctioned at Bonhams in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 23,040.00 (€ 26,456.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by JR - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 28 Millimètres, Women Are Heroes, Delivery In Monrovia On Corrugated Metal, Liberia 2007 - 2009, which sold at auction in February 2020 for EUR 101,400.00.

Die Arbeit North Korea, Pyongyang, Shadows, 2012, 2013 von JR kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.040,00 (€ 26.456,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von JR mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 28 Millimètres, Women Are Heroes, Delivery In Monrovia On Corrugated Metal, Liberia 2007 - 2009 beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für EUR 101.400,00 versteigert wurde.
