Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Nina (Black Background) by Joyce Tenneson was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,645.00 (€ 1,829.20). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joyce Tenneson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suzanne (In Chair) in June 2010 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 22,882.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Nina (Black Background) von Joyce Tenneson im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.645,00 (€ 1.829,20) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joyce Tenneson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suzanne (In Chair) im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 22.882,60).
