Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Whipper Willie Mickey by Joyce Pensato was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. The price achieved of HKD 1,071,000.00 (€ 130,332.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Other works by Joyce Pensato have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2020 the work Sunset Batman was auctioned for HKD 2,250,000.00 (€ 237,326.25).
