Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Perspektivische Studie mit Rhombentrikontaeder und Ikosaeder. Platte O, F. III. by Jost Amman was worth EUR 3,354.00 to a buyer in June 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Art at VAN HAM in Cologne and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 800.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jost Amman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Procession of the Doge in the Piazza San Marco, Venice (Andresen, Vol I, P. 65; B. 27; TIB. XX, 27; Holl. 244) in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 55,031.55).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Perspektivische Studie mit Rhombentrikontaeder und Ikosaeder. Platte O, F. III. von Jost Amman war einem Käufer im Juni 2021 EUR 3.354,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Art bei VAN HAM in Köln erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 800,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jost Amman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Procession of the Doge in the Piazza San Marco, Venice (Andresen, Vol I, P. 65; B. 27; TIB. XX, 27; Holl. 244) im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 55.031,55).
