Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Josh Smith was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 113,400.00 (€ 104,304.64). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Josh Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 214,200.00 (€ 251,193.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Josh Smith kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 113.400,00 (€ 104.304,64) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Josh Smith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 214.200,00 (€ 251.193,91) versteigert wurde.
