Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2000 Christies in London held the auction Irish Pictures, which included the work View of Donaghdee, Co. Down by Joseph William Carey. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,585.00 (€ 4,147.97). Other works by Joseph William Carey have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,541.77) in May 2000 for the work Theta; a yacht, racing in Belfast Lough.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion Irish Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of Donaghdee, Co. Down von Joseph William Carey zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.585,00 (€ 4.147,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Joseph William Carey haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.700,00 (€ 7.541,77) im Mai 2000 für die Arbeit Theta; a yacht, racing in Belfast Lough beobachtet.
