Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Joseph William Carey could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours including Original auction, the work Brickeen Bridge, Killarney changed hands for GBP 382.40 (€ 577.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph William Carey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Theta; a yacht, racing in Belfast Lough in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,541.77).
