Despite a disappointment, a good price for Joseph Walter

In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work A Harbour At Dusk by Joseph Walter for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 32,821.59). This price was achieved in the auction Marine Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, A Harbour At Dusk is the most expensive artwork by Joseph Walter that we have observed at auction so far.
