Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Guinness by Joseph Tetteh Ashong for GBP 630.00 (€ 751.46). This price was achieved in the auction The Hoarder: Part III at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Tetteh Ashong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spalding Basketball, which sold at auction in December 2019 for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,363.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Guinness von Joseph Tetteh Ashong für GBP 630,00 (€ 751,46) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Hoarder: Part III bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Tetteh Ashong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spalding Basketball beobachtet, die im Dezember 2019 für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.363,77) versteigert wurde.
