Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Joseph Tetteh Ashong was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2019. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,181.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Tetteh Ashong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spalding Basketball, which sold at auction in December 2019 for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,363.77).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Joseph Tetteh Ashong kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.181,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Tetteh Ashong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spalding Basketball beobachtet, die im Dezember 2019 für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.363,77) versteigert wurde.
