Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Morgan by Joseph Solman for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,430.77). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Solman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sewing Basket and Lamp, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,045.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Morgan von Joseph Solman für USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.430,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Solman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sewing Basket and Lamp beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.045,61) versteigert wurde.
