Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,240.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Paulman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing from the bridge; and The retriever, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 3,107.00 (€ 4,661.64).
