In March 2015 Christies in Paris held the auction Tableaux 1400-1900, which included the work Diane et ses compagnes by Joseph Paelinck. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 15,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Joseph Paelinck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orpheus and Eurydice in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 60,025.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Tableaux 1400-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Diane et ses compagnes von Joseph Paelinck zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 15.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Paelinck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orpheus and Eurydice im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 60.025,01).
