Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Design for a monument to three captains: William Bayne, William Blair, and Lord Robert Manners by Joseph Nollekens for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,646.90). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Nollekens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mercury In Repose in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 50,925.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Design for a monument to three captains: William Bayne, William Blair, and Lord Robert Manners von Joseph Nollekens für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.646,90) erwerben.
