Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work On The Way To The Market by Joseph Inguimberty for HKD 3,125.00 (€ 357.40). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Inguimberty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Hamac (The Hammock) in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 7,540,000.00 (€ 889,989.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On The Way To The Market von Joseph Inguimberty für HKD 3.125,00 (€ 357,40) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Inguimberty erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Hamac (The Hammock) im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.540.000,00 (€ 889.989,90).
