Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Marina by Joseph Inguimberty. The price achieved of HKD 140,250.00 (€ 16,650.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Inguimberty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Hamac (The Hammock) in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 7,540,000.00 (€ 889,989.90).
